Food Safety HACCP QQI Level 5 – Castlebar Campus

The course will equip learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies in the regulations and practices that underpin Food Safety and HACCP.

Learners will be able to

  • learn the principles of Food Safety and the Principles of HACCP.
  • to take a lead role within a workplace setting to put HACCP plans in place.
  • be able to evaluate the familiarised operation with respect to hygiene, food safety food legislation and quality management.
  • to develop Learners research skills to keep up to date with current food legislative matters.
  • to assist the learner to develop the academic and vocational language, literacy and numeracy skills related to Food Safety and HACCP.

Examination fee of €20 is payable for non medical card holders for certification of the course. If you have a valid medical card you will be exempt from the examination fee but a copy of this must be emailed on application to
