Start Your Own Business QQI Level 5 – Castlebar Campus

This module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to compile a business plan to enable the learner to start their own business.

Learners will be able to

• identify the skills required to start a business and obtain the knowledge to understand the issues involved in doing so. This award will provide the learner with real life experience of investigating and evaluating a business idea.
• to plan and manage the business from product development through to customer service
•  to develop the academic and vocational language, literacy and numeracy skills related to Start Your Own Business.

Examination fee of €20 is payable for non medical card holders for certification of the course. If you have a valid medical card you will be exempt from the examination fee but a copy of this must be emailed on application to nightclasses@mayocollege.ie
