Colette graduated from St Angela’s College Sligo in 1999 with a BEd in Home Economics and Religion . After subbing for a while at second level, she joined MSLETB in 2002 where she taught between Davitt College and Castlebar College. After gaining full time hours in Mayo College of FET she became co-ordinator of the very popular Social Studies Course which has grown in popularity since.
She teaches Human Growth and Development across a range of courses and Young People and Society and more recently Addiction Studies to social studies students. She teaches 2 modules on the ECCE L6 programme and also teaches Understanding & Assisting Children with Additional Needs ECCE Level 5 students.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking, walking, discovering many of the lovely Trails we have around.
