Denise is a Registered General Nurse, who qualified from University College Hospital, Galway. She has 14 years’ clinical experience in the areas of medical, surgical and gerontological nursing.
She always aspired to be a teacher and graduated from NUI, Galway with a BA in Mathematical Studies and German, followed by a Higher Diploma in Education.
In 2005, Denise began her teaching career at Castlebar College of Further Education and teaches various modules on the Nursing Studies and Healthcare Support courses.
