Michael is a graduate of the University of Limerick who first started teaching accounting and mathematics with Mayo VEC in 1995. He has commercial experience having worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland, Coca-Cola, and being self-employed developing an SME in the retail sector. He taught Economics and Business to A & O levels in London for a number of years before joining MSLETB in 2018. During his time with the college he has taught Text Production, Audio Transcription, Word Processing, Health & Safety and Work Experience. He has also completed the AHEAD Start course for supporting students with disabilities and offers assistive technology supports to college students. In his spare time, he coaches with his local GAA club at underage levels and is a committee member and coach with Castlebar Swimming Club.
