Introduction to Ceramics Workshop

In this course, spread across 3 days, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of working in clay including hand building techniques and getting started on the potters wheel.  The course tutor will guide you through some starter projects in hand building and then you will work independently under her guidance to make some pieces for firing in the kiln.  If you are interested in the potters wheel, there will be an opportunity practicing this too.

The first two days will be spent making and refining your pieces.  Your pieces will then be bisque fired and you will return the following week to learn about how to glaze your work.  The pieces you make in class will then be ready for collection at the end of the month.

If you are already more experienced in working in clay, you are also welcome on this course to continue with your practice and learning.
