The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence in a range of core disciplines in Irish cultural and heritage studies to work independently under supervision in a range of cultural and heritage contexts and or to progress to further or higher education and training.
On successful completion of the QQI Level 5 award in Cultural and Heritage Studies applicants will have acquired the knowledge, skill and competence in a range of core disciplines in Irish cultural and heritage studies to enable them to work independently and under supervision in a range of cultural and heritage contexts.

Successful completion of this course will result in a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Culture and Heritage Studies 5M2154.
This course can be completed over one or two years; it is a fulltime course and runs from September to May.
Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
