A graduate of ATU St. Angela’s in 2009, Áine began her career in Sligo in as a teacher of second level home economics, science, and biology and further education nutrition and anatomy and physiology.
Áine’s love of nutrition lead her to Ulster University to complete a masters in Sports and Exercise Nutrition in 2014. After 7 enjoyable years in Sligo, Áine transferred to her current role in Mayo College of Further Education and Training Castlebar where she co-ordinates the Sports Nutrition Level 5 course. A teacher of Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Nutrition and Health, Dietetics and Child Health and Wellbeing, Áine can combine her love of education with evidence-based, practical nutrition and health.
Outside of her teaching role at Mayo College of Further Education, Áine has worked with various sports teams in the area of performance nutrition. She also offers nutritional advice for product development in industry. Continuous professional development allows Áine to stay up to date in both education and nutrition fields.
