John Completed a Bachelor of Technology (Education) in Materials and Engineering Technology at the University of Limerick. John completed a variety of modules encompassing engineering workshop processes, design and manufacture, electronics and education. He has also completed a Design and Manufacture project as FYP, which would have included welding training.(Mig, MMA and oxy – acetylene)
Since graduating from University of Limerick John has taught at second level as well as PLC. Subjects include: Engineering, Metalwork, Design and Communication Graphics and Technical Drawing. Coming from an agricultural background he has worked on many equipment fabrication projects and also gained much experience in maintenance and repairs of farm Equipment.
John joined Westport College of Further Education in September 2014. He teaches on a variety of our courses including Motor Technology, Agriculture and Office Administration.
